But simply not looking at OM isn't the answer and you need to be looking at and analyzing hands and the play of all your regs constantly. Not sure how you can play without a HUD, so much key information your not utilizing, unless you have an incredibly good note taking system.
A friend of mine got SNE playing O8 last year and the variance can be pretty sick over massive samples. I mentioned this blog to him and he said you were smart to get out of going for it before you committed too much, he pretty much hates poker now lol.
Anyway, sorry if this comes off as discouraging, I wish you the best of luck, but you have to have a really level head. You've only just scratched the surface...
never used HUD before, but I guess i could always start. Still on SNE pace so we'll see how this goes, but thanks for the words (I definitely know this wasn't going to be easy so any advice helps).
Thanks, was wondering where both Mustafa and Buklah have been lately so figured it had to be one of them. Is Musfafa still playing poker? If so, what is he playing (because as you said, I've barely seen him around all year at O8)? He was always one of the nicer regulars on stars so tell him I said gl to him in poker or whatever he is doing now.
Quit playing with my mind man, also your temporary breakdown has lead to me having a slight VPP lead. Muhahahaha
ReplyDeleteIt's also possible you simply haven't updated your progress meter, if that's the case please change muhahha to boowhowhowho.
@Games have been slow
Spring break/college exams/Mardi-gras/SNE burn-outs/lions/tiger/bears/etc. I'm not actually sure, but I love to speculate.
You're ahead of me. Last two days have been pretty weak, but I'll update meter in the next two days.
ReplyDeleteGames better pick up man, because .5/1 and .25/.50 sure as hell isn't going to get me the vpps
GLGLGLGLGL glad to hear. Cya at the tables. I am down 1k in EV this month so please dont make it hurt too much.
ReplyDeleteTy Brian,
ReplyDeleteI think its standard if you're a regular, you must be under ev

ReplyDeleteBTW, who was your buddy? (Mustafa, Buklah?)
You should do what works for you, maybe a HUD doesn't have the same value for o8 as it does for NLH, you could prob tell me better :)
ReplyDeleteMy buddy is Mustafa...

ReplyDeleteErik
No, Mustafa is pretty much done with Poker I think, his SNE lapsed Mar 1. as did Buklahs.
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on my regards for you.
Hope it's going well for you!
